Nepal and Tibet – To Mighty Everest Base Camp

The Nepal and Tibet is a 15 day tour that includes a visit to the Everest Base Camp, Lhasa and some heritage and beautiful sights of Nepal. This trek is perfect if you do not think you can manage the 13-day strenuous trek from Lukla in Nepal but still want spectacular mountain views and a glimpse of the mighty Mount Everest. The trip includes a short, relatively easy one-day trek to the Tibetan Everest Base Camp, offering you stupendous views and some magical moments to cherish.

You will also get the opportunity to explore Lhasa, the Tibetan capital, taking in the mesmerizing sights of Jokhang Temple, Barkhor market, Potala Palace, Sera and Drepung monasteries, Yamadroke Lake and Tashilhumpu Monastery.

This tour is a cultural explosion of ancient customs and a venture into the majestic Himalayas.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu.

A Mosaic Adventure representative will meet you in the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and drive to Nagarkot.

After breakfast, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby for your city sightseeing in Kathmandu. We will visit Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square/city. In the afternoon, we will take an hour drive to Nagarkot for beautiful, panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Overnight in Nagarkot hotel.

Day 3: Nagarkot - Pokhara.

After breakfast and an impressive sunrise view of the mountains, you will have time to explore around the small hill town of Nagarkot. We then drive to Kathmandu airport for short 30 minutes flight to Pokhara. After a short rest, we will take you to enjoy a boat ride on the glistening waters of Phewa Lake, which is completely surrounded by snow caped mountains. Overnight in a Pokhara hotel.

Day 4: Pokhara Sightseeing.

We will give you an early wake up call today so you can experience the most amazing sunrise, Himalayan view from Sarangkot. After breakfast, we continue to explore Pokhara taking in Gupteshwor Cave, Devi’s Fall and the Mountain museum. Overnight in a Pokhara hotel.

Day 5: Pokhara - Kathmandu.

After breakfast, it’s back to the capital. We drive for approximately 200 kilometers of Prithvi highway back to Kathmandu. Any free time on your own and trip briefing about your tour to Tibet.

Day 6: Fly to Lhasa (3650 meters)

A flight through the Himalayas to Lhasa, capital of Tibet. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free on your own.

Day 7 & 8: Two Full Days Sightseeing tour in Lhasa

Sightseeing tour of Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera & Drepung Monastery and Barkhor Street. Overnight in hotel.

Day 9: To Gyantse (3950 meters), approximate 260 kilometers drive

Drive to Gyantse via Yamdroke lake and high passes (Kora and Kamba La).

Day 10: To Xigatse (3900 meters), approximately 90 kilometers drive

Sightseeing around Gyantse in the morning and driver further to Xigatse.

Day 11: To Tingri (4100 meters), approximately 270 kilometers

Visit Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu monastery and further drive to Tingri.

Day 12: To Ronbuk (4980 meters), approximately 90 kilometers drive

Scenic drive to Ronbuk. Explore the Ronbuk monastery.

Day 13: To Everest base camp and further to Nyalam, apprixmately 315 kilometers

You can walk or rent a horse-cart to Everest base camp. Back to Ronbuk and further drive to Nyalam.

Day 14: To Kathmandu

Drive to friendship bridge, after sorting out visa formality further drive to Kathmandu.

Day 15: Departure

We will transfer you to the airport and bid you farewell.
